There are many advantages to live-in care jobs

Not only do you get to care for some lovely people, but we pay an attractive salary, and with your accommodation and food paid for the majority of the year, you will have more of your pay left over to spend on other things.

Training will be provided to ensure the care provided is safe, professional and of a very high standard. We will have trained carers in homes within 14 days of applying. We also believe in continuous learning; therefore, we provide ongoing training to complement the regular visits and ongoing communication. We want you to feel fully supported and comfortable in your role.

Being a live-in carer takes a remarkable kind of person

There are many attributes and skills that we look for in our carers. You will need to:

  • Have a positive outlook on life
  • Be caring, kind, compassionate, and empathetic
  • Enjoy striking up conversation with people (which will require a very good standard of English)
  • Be experienced in making good home-cooked food
  • Use your initiative and look for what needs to happen next (in consultation with your client)

While many of our carers do have driving licences and own their own car, this is not essential, as we can make alternative travel arrangements so you and your client can get out and about.

100% of our carers said that they enjoyed working for Ashridge Home Care. ASK US WHY +

“I’d been (unsuccessfully) doing totally random jobs for 20 years, & not enjoying it. In 2013, when I started caring, I found my calling. I make a genuine difference to people’s lives. I show respect to people that have a lifetime of experience and have lived! I make someone’s life a better place, & that’s why I do what I do”.
