We are one of the few companies that make it possible for vulnerable people to receive the highest quality care in the comfort of their own home.
We are often astonished by how few people consider live in care as a viable alternative to residential care.
Our philosophy is centred around getting the little things right for your loved ones – sticking to their well-established routines and their house rules really does allow them to maintain their independence.
We spend time getting to know our clients as individuals, so that we can build strong relationships and understand what makes them happy.
We are passionate about live in care. Our initial assessments and discussions with family mean that we can get the level of care just right. Our carers are chosen for their kind, compassionate nature as well as for their skills and experience. They take the time to find out how a person likes their tea in the morning, what time they like to eat their dinner, and whether they like their eggs sunny side up! Spending time getting the little things right is vital in enabling your loved one to stay in control of their lives.
Here at Ashridge Home Care, we pride ourselves on being small enough to provide a professional, tailored service that is truly personalised to your individual needs.
Relationships and continuity are absolutely key for us. Our Client Services Manager will oversee the start of your journey, talking to you on the phone, understanding your particular situation and arranging an assessment where she will come and meet you. Once you are settled and everything is running smoothly, you will transition to a Care Manager who will oversee the care day to day and look after you and your loved one ongoing.
We understand the importance of relationships so the Client Services Manager will remain available as a person you can speak with anytime.
There are no cutting corners here. To us it’s important that should you opt for our visiting care service, when we visit, we stay for long enough to have a chat, support around the house and get to know your loved one that little bit better each time.
These things can’t be rushed, and that’s why each visit is at least one hour long.
We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and are members of the professional body, HomeCare Association, so you can rest assured that we take live in care extremely seriously. We take an active role in raising awareness of the benefits of live in care, and are a founding member of the Live In Home Care Hub, whose shared aim is to raise the profile of live in care in the UK.
Within the care industry , we’re so proud that we’ve picked up four prestigious awards for our different home care services, it is fantastic that our Carers are recognised for the caring work that they do. Caring in our view is one of the most important jobs carried out, so we think it is absolutely fantastic that carers are being recognised in this way.
At Ashridge Home Care, we’re committed to high standards of environmental sustainability, and are consistently implementing impactful measures to reduce our carbon footprint and educate our teams. By implementing these measures, we’ve not only reduced our environmental impact, but also demonstrated our commitment to sustainable practices in the care industry
Our commitments so far include:
Energy efficiency: To ensure that our offices use energy sustainably, we’ve upgraded our facilities with energy-efficient lighting, heating, and cooling systems, reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.
Waste Reduction: We’re encouraging comprehensive recycling programmes across our operations, as well as minimising our use of single-use plastic, which has resulted in a significantly reduced waste output.
Sustainable Procurement: To reduce transportation emissions, we prioritise eco-friendly locally sourced products. By moving away from mass produced items wherever possible, we’re reducing transportation emissions and supporting local economies.
Employee Engagement: We invest time to empower and educate out staff on best sustainability practices, welcoming new ideas and opportunities to take part in green initiatives. As a result, we continue to reduce our environmental impact, as well as committing to introduce sustainable practices to the care industry.
