About Us

We are a care company who genuinely understand and care.  We have created a culture that we are proud of, where our staff and clients are valued and respected and are at the centre of all of our thinking and everything we do.

We are driven to deliver the service that we would want for ourselves, should we ever need help in our own home.

Welcome to Ashridge Home Care, a family business set up and run by Trudi Scrivener and supported by a team of dedicated and experienced staff.

With over 30 years’ experience in home care and dementia care services, Trudi’s entire working life has been within the care sector. Drawing on her experience both professionally and personally, she knew that she should use this expertise to set up Ashridge Home Care and provide a service her clients need and want.

A people business – it’s all about the little things

To us, the little things aren’t little.  The little things are the important things. Whether it’s strictly adhering to our clients’ routines or its making plans to support our carers when they’re not working, it’s the small things that make a difference.

No two people are the same which means every care plan needs to be tailored. That means if lunch needs to be at 11am and dinner needs to be at 4pm – you can rest assured that’s what we’ll do.

Our value system is at the core of everything we do

With a hands-on business approach, Trudi makes sure that we are getting individual care right. She is always available to discuss and advise on the different care options that we offer.

Trudi is supported by an office team who all bring a wealth of  front-line experience in delivering and coordinating care for older people and those with disabilities.  The team takes great pride in recruiting and training the right staff, and ensuring that our care staff have the support they need to perform at their very best.

Although skills and experience are extremely important, we feel passionately that our carers must also have a deep-seated value system and the ability to empathise with others.

It is the job of the whole team to ensure that we consistently exceed the high standards that are put in place by the CQC. Paying the utmost attention to every client that we work with. Each team member will have a role in overseeing the client relationship and making sure they are happy every step of the way.

The team will consult with other professionals, such as District Nurses and GPs, to make sure that our clients get the highest level of all-round care and support

We actively campaign to raise the profile of live in care nationally

We are committed to raising awareness of live in care as a better alternative to residential care. Through our work with the Live-in Care Hub, the message is starting to spread, and people are taking more time to consider their options. Our national involvement in raising awareness of live-in home care is having a positive effect on the industry, as we are dedicated to raising the standards of care provided to people in their own homes.

Trudi is an avid supporter of local charities and a well-respected advocate for the vulnerable. She is a campaigner for live in care, and a founder member of the Live-in Care Hub. Trudi is also a trustee of a local charity and is on the Board of Heart of Bucks.

In 2019 Trudi picked up 2 awards that she is extremely proud of, a Dignity in Care Award for her work with the community to improve care for vulnerable people.  She also received an ‘Inspirational Care Leader Award’ in recognition of working to achieve better standards of care across the industry.

CQC Rating Ashridge Home Care

“In January this year my 90 year old Mum, who has dementia, had the latest of many falls in her flat.  We decided that she should move in with us. We had a ski holiday booked and thought of cancelling when we met a member of staff from Ashridge Home Care. Our concerns vanished overnight. Regular phone calls to our daughter filled us with confidence that Mum was well, medicine compliant and happy. Ashridge Home Care were excellent and we are using them again in October. We would highly recommend them”
