We are driven to deliver the service that we would want for ourselves, should we need help in our own home.

Welcome to Ashridge Home Care, a family business set up and run by Trudi Scrivener and Mikkel Togsverd, and supported by a team of dedicated and experienced staff.

With over 30 years’ experience in home care and dementia care services, their entire working lives have been within the care sector. Drawing on their experience both professionally and personally, they knew that they could do it better, providing a service their clients need and want.

A people business – it’s all about the little things

To us, the little things aren’t little.  The little things are the important things. Whether it’s strictly adhering to our clients’ routines or its making plans to support our carers when they’re not on a shift, it’s the small things that make a difference.

No two people are the same which means every care plan needs to be tailored. That means if lunch needs to be at 11am and dinner needs to be at 4pm – you can rest assured that’s what we’ll do.

Our value system is at the core of everything we do

With a hands-on business approach, Trudi makes sure that we are getting individual care right. She is always available to discuss and advise on the different care options that we offer.

Trudi is supported by Hannah Powell, our Head of Care. Hannah has many years of front-line experience in delivering and coordinating care for the elderly. She takes great pride in recruiting and training the right staff, and ensures that our care staff have the support they need to perform at their very best.

Although skills and experience are extremely important, Hannah passionately believes that our carers must also have a deep-seated value system and the ability to empathise with others.

It is Hannah’s job to ensure that we consistently exceed the high standards that are put in place by the CQC. She pays the utmost attention to every client that we work with. Hannah undertakes the initial care needs assessment, and from that point on, she oversees each client relationship.

Hannah consults with other professionals, such as District Nurses and GPs, to make sure that our clients get the highest level of all-round care and support

We actively campaign to raise the profile of live in care nationally

We are committed to raising awareness of live in care as a superior alternative to residential care. Through our work with the Live-in Care Hub, the message is starting to spread, and people are taking more time to consider their options. Our national involvement in raising awareness of live-in home care is having a positive effect on the industry, as we are dedicated to raising the standards of care provided to people in their own homes.

Trudi is an avid charity worker and a well-respected advocate for the vulnerable. She is a campaigner for live in care, and a founder member of the Live-in Care Hub. Trudi is also a trustee of a local charity and is on the Board of Heart of Bucks.
