What type of live-in care services do we offer?

At Ashridge Home Care, we understand that everyone’s different. Not everyone wants or needs the same level of care – some people need 24-hour support whilst some may just want some company a few times a week. This is why all of our live-in care services are flexible. We offer a 24-hour service which supports you with personal care, housekeeping, shopping, cooking, medications and companionship. This is a great alternative to residential care, as you can continue life with minimal disruption.

We also have an hourly live-in care service which can be anything from a couple of hours a day to just a few visits a week. Whether you need some support around the house or simply want someone to have a coffee with, our flexible visits help you to remain independent.

For those with more serious illnesses or conditions, we have specialist live-in care for those living with dementia, Parkinson’s, or cancer and much more. We don’t want you to have to move into a residential home when dealing with these conditions, instead, you can stay where you’re happy and comfortable, receiving support from our team.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How will my loved one be matched with a carer?

We understand how important it is to find the right carer for your loved one. We have a small and dedicated team of carers who work in the Thame area and are committed to providing a high level of care. We ensure that we complete a full assessment of your loved ones’ needs to match them with a carer who understands their requirements.

Do you offer a live-in care trial?

We offer a two-week live-in care trial to ensure your loved one is happy, comfortable and enjoying our service. During this time, we’ll provide your loved one with a dedicated care manager who’ll assess their needs and come up with a care plan, there is no obligation to then receive care from us. Simply contact us on 01494 917 344 or email to arrange a trial.

How does the cost of live-in care compare to the cost of a care home?

Live-in care is more cost-effective than residential care, for couples, for example, there is no need to pay for two separate rooms/beds as both live in the same house. Money also goes much further with live-in care as your loved one will receive a dedicated carer who fully understands their needs and personal preferences. Not only are they receiving a carer but also a companion that they can build a lasting friendship with.

Do you offer live-in care in other locations?

Yes, we offer live-in care across the South East of England, including Ascot, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, St Albans and Princes Risborough.

“I love that Anca is now Mum’s official make-up artist and hair stylist!  Mum is looking so well and gets many compliments when they bump into acquaintances at the village shop; this is giving her a well needed boost at this time.  And they are both enjoying art sessions, with Mum ‘helping’ Anca produce some amazing pictures.”

“We’re delighted with Lucy!! She is brilliant and lovely with my dad and they’ve bonded really well. It’s obviously a huge relief and thanks to you, Sarah and the team for finding ANOTHER great carer so well suited for my dad.”  Mr C, Cambridgeshire, March 2020
