Long-time supporter of Alzheimer’s Society Trudi Scrivener is relishing her new role as a Dementia Friends Ambassador.
Please join us in congratulating Trudi Scrivener for reaching 104 Dementia friends. We are very grateful for the time and effort she puts in as a dementia ambassador. Every Friend Trudi makes is another step towards breaking down the stigma surrounding dementia.
“During your Champions induction, we discussed the target of reaching 100 Dementia Friends and I wanted to say thank you on behalf of all the Dementia Friends team for your hard work to get there.” Dementia Friends
“I’m proud that so many of our carers and staff are Dementia Friends and would like to encourage all of you, whether you are caring for someone living with dementia, or not, to take this opportunity and sit in on one of my virtual online Dementia Friends sessions. It is super easy and informative, being a Dementia Friend simply means learning more about dementia, putting yourself in the shoes of someone living with the condition, and turning your understanding into action.”
Dementia Friends Information Sessions are run by Ashridge volunteer Dementia Friends Ambassadors, who are trained and supported by Alzheimer’s Society. Each Information Session lasts around one hour. You will learn more about dementia and how you can help to create dementia friendly communities.
With your help, we can create a world that’s more understanding of people with dementia. If you would like to organise a dementia friends information session for your organisation, contact info@ashridgehomecare.co.uk or call us on 01494 917 344
