home care funding
Care ambassador Trudi Scrivener from Ashridge Home Care will be raising awareness about the importance of planning ahead and knowing what your care options and costs are.
Every year thousands of families run out of money when paying for care. We’ve noticed that families are leaving care planning later and later and are often at crisis point with a parent or elderly relative before they start looking around and have no time to research the options properly. While people are clearly talking more about dementia (and indeed most illnesses of old age), it appears they don’t know what to do – or where to turn when the time comes to exploring live-in care or specialist live-in care options:

Recent research conducted by the live-in care hub confirms:

– Less than a quarter would talk to any other health professional

– A third would seek advice from their GP

– 60 per cent would discuss it with their family

– Six per cent would surf the internet for answers, but wouldn’t talk to anyone

Our job here at Ashridge Home Care is to do everything we can to stop that happening. Mainly that means making sure Buckinghamshire citizens are well informed and make good decisions. Everyone is welcome & we look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
