The personal touch with the professionalism you expect

We are passionate about live in care. Our initial assessments and discussions with family mean that we can get the level of care just right. Our carers are chosen for their kind, compassionate nature as well as for their skills and experience.  If you’re concerned that you or your loved one has specific needs that we may not have experience of, please give us a call and we can talk through the situation with you.

The care we provide across Buckinghamshire varies from live-in care for individuals living alone or for couples who may require assistance , rehabilitation care to recover after an operation or a fall, to more tailored specialist care for individuals living with a condition such as MS, Stroke, Dementia or Parkinson’s.

What our clients have to say

We care very much about what our clients and their family think about us. Please find below a number of our most-valued testimonials.

“Following our unsatisfactory experience with another agency, Ashridge took over my son’s live-in care at short notice. Their provision has been exemplary, with both live-in and respite carers “giving (my son) his life back”, in his words. All the carers and support team clearly have the client’s interests at heart and go the extra mile to ensure this.”

Review from I H (Father of Client)

“Ashridge Home Care have been providing home care for my relative over the past two years. In the past month, they have exceeded my expectations by suggesting increased support to help in a difficult and sensitive situation. The live-in carer they suggested on a trial basis was excellent and provided the necessary care for my relative. A satisfactory solution was reached for all. Ashridge Home Care have the best interest of their clients and I am so pleased that I have used their services.”

Choosing the right care For a family member

Finding a suitable care service for a loved one can be daunting. A family member may need more support than you can provide but feel anxious at the thought of living in a residential care home.

Moving away from the comfort of their home is an upheaval and conditions such as dementia can make it even more difficult. Caring for a parent or relative can be stressful and we understand that it’s even harder if you don’t live near them or you’re juggling work and family commitments.

Choosing the right moment to discuss their care is never easy. We always ensure you and your family are in the driving seat when there are key decisions to be made and we do everything we can to make the situation as stress-free as possible.

A dedicated care manager will oversee all aspects of the care plan and organise everything for you. From the onset, they undertake a full assessment of needs and provide suggestions on the level of support required and any aids or equipment that could be useful. Our in-house specialist nursing and medical advisers are also on hand if there are more complex health needs to consider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you provide care in Buckinghamshire?

Our live-in care services cover the whole of Buckinghamshire, including Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross , Princes Risborough , Aylesbury, Breat Missenden, Gerrards Cross, Amersham, Marlow, High Wycombe and other surrounding areas. Wherever you’re based in the area, we can match you with a carer who lives nearby and can be on call to offer you with the support you need.

Is live in home care the best option for my loved one?

As our relatives get older and start to become more frail or find day to day life more challenging, we need to consider the options.  We all want the very best for our loved one and live in home care is the premium care at home service. Live in care will provide you with the reassurance that your loved one is cared for day and night.  There are care options available like supported accommodation in a retirement village or a residential care home but often being in our own home in familiar surroundings is where we are happiest.

How does the cost of live in care compare to the cost of residential care?

Live in care costs compare favourably to residential or nursing care homes. The cost for couples is even better value for money because with live in care you only pay one fee for the carer, whereas in a care home you would pay for two beds.

Speaking on behalf of our wider family I take great pleasure in writing to you to express our thoughts regarding the care provided by Betty for our father .

My father is 100 yrs old this week and requires a full care service 24 hours a day , Betty provides this with a smile on her face always and with a professionalism and patience that is a credit to both her and you as the providing company . It is not easy coping with my fathers requirements , which can be onerous at times especially at night but Betty always seems to have the right attitude to any problem and has obviously formed a great understanding of how to handle any situation or challenge she is confronted with .

Betty’s ability to make my father smile has defused many tricky situations , she never gets flustered and always has just the correct word or action at hand to make Dad feel safe and secure and always shows the compassion and empathy necessary for someone in my fathers position . He can sometimes feel vulnerable and less than happy with his “lot” but Betty is always able to make him feel at ease and appears completely unflappable !

We think Betty is a pretty special human being and that we are very lucky to have her looking after our father at this time in his life .
