Many of us worry about ‘saying the wrong thing’ to someone with dementia, yet a friendly face or listening ear can make the world of difference. Being a Dementia Friend simply means learning more about dementia, putting yourself in the shoes of someone living with the condition, and turning you understanding into action.
A Dementia Friends Information Session is a great way to learn a little about dementia and how it can affect people’s lives. Led by Dementia Friends Champion Trudi Scrivener, the Session lasts approx. 30 minutes with chance to Q&A at the end and covers five key messages that everyone should know about dementia, through activities and discussion. Also a chance to win a FREE afternoon tea for 2 people kindly donated by our friends at Peterley Manor Farm
Every time we talk about dementia we get a step closer to creating a more, supportive society. The kind of society we can all be proud to be part of. Join our free Dementia Friends virtual sessions online and learn about #dementia in your community. Our next session is Tuesday 18 May 2021 at 10.30 am. Book your space here. Sign up and add your voice to our campaigns. Everyone is welcome.
