Live in Care Costs

Many of our clients opt for a live-in carer, as maintaining their independence and keeping in control of their lives is of paramount importance.

Live in care costs compare favourably to other types of full time care, such as a residential nursing home.

Having a dedicated carer solely focused on your relative’s needs provides added flexibility, as the carer works around their routine and preferences.

Live-in carers are a viable alternative to residential care

For couples, a live-in carer is a fantastic option as we only make a small additional charge for the extra person needing care. If your relative lives alone, having a live-in carer is still a viable option, as the costs compare favourably to that of a good quality care home.

When you are ready to talk through your loved one’s personal circumstances, we’d love to hear from you. There’s absolutely no cost for discussing the situation with us; we don’t charge a penny for the initial assessment, and there’s no VAT added to care costs.

We base our live-in carer costs on your relative’s individual needs following the initial assessment.

Live in carer costs are usually between £994 and £1400 per week depending on the specific needs and circumstances whereas residential care can be well over £2000 per week. The cost for specialist care will, of course, be more expensive than for someone who simply requires companionship and help around the home.

Hourly care costs

For some, all they need is a friendly face and someone to come in to their home for a few hours to keep track of things and provide some company.

Our hourly care is charged at £19.50 per hour on week days and £21.50 per hour at the weekend. We know how important it is that your relative builds a strong bond with their carer, and in most cases, we provide a dedicated carer that they can get to know well.

It can be hard to make that first phone call to us, but there really is no obligation, and we are more than happy to talk through the different options with you so you can make an informed decision.

“Sean was the best Carer we could have asked for to help my father’ and ‘We couldn’t have asked for anyone better.”

“We are very pleased with the care that Betty has provided. I am grateful to her for managing to do the daily multiple leg measurements that I use to monitor the leg swelling.”
