Studies have shown that your risk of falling at home is significantly less than if you were in another setting, this is due to your home being where you are most comfortable, safe and where you have full control. It’s often easy to forget about the simple niceties such as close friends, family and neighbours that live nearby, local shops, doctor’s surgery, parks and local places you’re so used to visiting whenever you like.

Change is a big step for anyone and we know it can be very daunting as needing the assistance of a carer can take you in a direction you thought might never have be needed. We take care in finding the right person who will fit into your home and lifestyle without taking over. Our experienced care managers will go through your specific care requirements and find you the right care package. We continue to make regular visits and reviews of your care to make sure we are meeting your needs and requirements.

It is important to feel safe at home – especially if you are living alone or not always recognising your surroundings, which can be common with conditions such as dementia. Having a carer can provide you with peace of mind, assist with the little things that you might struggle with and provide companionship when you need it most. For someone with Dementia, staying in their own surroundings can be essential. It provides regular routines with their personal belongings and a familiar face that can ensure every day is a good day.

Safety at home is an umbrella concept as it can range from a carer assisting with cooking meals to assisting with personal care to helping with the weekly grocery shop and all the bits in-between. It might be just having some else in your home can be all it takes to feel safe and secure. Our Carers can assist with all aspects of managing a home as well as all the intrigue daily tasks that are just as essential.
