Heart of Bucks has appointed Trudi Scrivener as a Health, Wellbeing  Ambassador to support the charity and raise the profile of health and wellbeing in Buckinghamshire.

Established in 2000, the Buckinghamshire charity is the community foundation for the county; a charitable funding organisation that awards grants and loans to local causes, charities and community groups. Part of UK Community Foundations (UKCF), the national network of community foundations, Heart of Bucks is one of 46 foundations in the country and one of the largest non-statutory funders in Buckinghamshire.

The charity have supported more than 3,500 community organisations since their first grant payment in 2000. To date, they have distributed over £8.7m in grants and loans across Buckinghamshire.

As Health & Wellbeing Ambassador, Trudi will use her local expertise and over 30 years experience in social and health care to help the charity continue its crucial work to create a culture of giving that strengthens and supports communities throughout Buckinghamshire.

Speaking about the new Ambassador role, Trudi said: “I’m honoured to have been asked to be an Ambassador for Heart of Bucks, which I proudly accept on behalf of myself and my family.”

“I have supported Heart of Bucks for some time now and I’ve been hugely impressed at the charity’s dedication to support effective non-profits in their communities and improve the lives of people in Buckinghamshire ”

Trudi lives in Buckinghamshire and has worked in care for over 30 years in a variety of senior roles. She is now a director/owner of a specialist live-in care business based in Buckinghamshire as well as a trustee at the Princes Centre in Princes Risborough. She has previously worked in both charity and housing association organisations and brings a wealth of experience in service provision. Trudi’s experience includes care and support to people with complex needs, including autism, supporting people who have challenging behaviour, adults with profound and multiple learning difficulties and also specialist dementia care.
