About Ashridge Home Care

/Welcome to Ashridge Home Care, a family run business set up by Trudi and Mikkel, husband and wife team with over 30 years’ experience in home care and dementia care services.

Our passion to provide the highest possible standard of care to clients led us to set up the business and create the service that we would want ourselves when we need help in our home. Our home is important to us and that's where we want to stay for as long as possible.

Our entire working lives have been within the care sector and the rewards have been extremely satisfying. Drawing on our experience both professionally and personal, we knew that we could do it better and provide a service our clients want.

We are passionate about raising awareness of live-in care as an alternative to Residential Care and slowly through hard work and determination the message that it is a possibility is getting out there. Trudi is involved nationally at raising the profile of live-in home care and is also committed to raising the standards of care provided to people in their own homes.

Trudi has worked for 30 years in care and providing advocacy for vulnerable people. She is a campaigner for Live-in-care and a founder member of the Live-in-care Hub, raising awareness of live-in care as an alternative to going into a care home. She is a trustee of a local charity and involved in many initiatives around Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire

With a hands-on business approach Trudi makes sure that we are getting people’s individual care right. She enjoys meeting our clients and their families and is always able to advise people about the different options available to them.

Trudi is supported by Hannah, our Head of Care who will make sure that our high standards are maintained by initially undertaking a thorough care needs assessment and then making ongoing visits to make sure that the care provided is meeting the needs of our client. Hannah will work with other professionals including District Nurses and GP's to make sure that our clients get the very best level of all round care and support.

Hannah has many years of front line experience delivering and coordinating care for elderly people. Her force is in recruiting and training the right staff and ensuring that our care staff have the support they need to perform their best. She fully understands that staff need to be picked on the basis of their values and empathy as much as on their skills and experience.

Mikkel has worked more than 20 years in care and started as frontline carer. He has over 10 years’ experience as a director in regulated environments and is dedicated to creating a culture that positively affects front line staff. Drawing on his Scandinavian heritage his approach focusses on good lifestyles and ensuring that there is a common-sense approach to care, being compassionate, making sure that we maintain dignity for our clients and really making every moment matter.
